Calendar 2024 for Friends of Hungary

The Friends of Hungary Foundation would like to present its members with a special calendar and the online version is available here.

Its special feature is that we have collected a non-exhaustive selection of festive days celebrated in Hungary, the Carpathian Basin and worldwide, which we have supplemented with the image and description of a Hungarikum associated with the given month. Hungarikums are Hungarian national treasures that have been declared significant for the Hungarian nation as a whole, worthy of preservation and dissemination, and legally protected by the Hungarian National Assembly in 2012. In many cases, they are also part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Our Hungarianness is at the centre of our Foundation's mission, so it is no coincidence that we would like to contribute to the widest possible dissemination of these values, which is why our calendar is bilingual; it is written in Hungarian and English.

The introduction was written by Prof. Dr. E. Sylvester Vizi, Chair of the Friends of Hungary Foundation, former President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and János Árpád Potápi, State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for national policy honoured us with the greeting.

It is our warm wish that all dear readers, friends of Hungary from both within and outside Hungary, will continue to enjoy God’s blessings in the year 2024!
